TEAM Punta Gorda had its annual meeting on November 10th at the Charlotte Event and Conference Center. World-renowned urban planner Jaime Correa gave a thought-provoking keynote address while TEAM President Roger Peterson and CEO Nancy Prafke provided updates on key projects in Punta Gorda.

Four Citizens' Master Plan Design Awards were given at the TEAM Annual Meeting. This years' winners included the Four Points Sheraton, Gulf Breeze Apartments, the Wyvern Hotel and the Herald Court Centre.

Thanks to the fund-raising efforts of TEAM Punta Gorda, the interactive fountain at Laishley Park got some much-needed shade trees. Suzanne McCormick, TEAM's Beautification Committee Chairperson, watched as Tony Sanchez and Noe Raimerez from Powells Nursery planted gumbo limbo and ‘Shady Lady’ olive trees as well as buttonwood and firebush shrubs near the newly completed interactive fountain. Geiger trees will be planted when the shade structure over the stadium seating is completed. Joan LeBeau and Mitchell Austin from the City of Punta Gorda were also present for the occasion.

TEAM's Architecture Committee Chair Bill Gazzola and Main Street's Design Committee Chair and Board Vice President Carlton Hughes who meet to begin the process of collaborating on projects and establishing a strong working relationship between TEAM and Mainstreet Punta Gorda.
