Fishermen’s

Shopping, restaurants and more all located within a beautiful
marina setting make up Fishermen’s Village. Not
to be missed during your visit to Punta Gorda.
A special event, A Taste of the Village, will be held
at 4-6pm on Saturday, May 1, near the Center Court of Fishermen's
Village. Participating Village Restaurants will be offering
free butler style sampling of their Florida Fare for your
enjoyment. Your favorite libations will also be available
(for nominal fees). Village shops & boutiques will be open
until 6pm for your shopping enjoyment! Live entertainment
featuring Florida Cajun Music by "The Yard Dogs" will be
in center court 5-9pm, so plan to enjoy some dining and
dancing while you take in the sights and sounds of beautiful

Muscle Car City features nearly 200 automobiles of every era
dating to the 1920’s. As per its name, the museum’s
major focus is on the muscle cars of the mid 60’s to
early 70’s including such
models as the Pontiac GTO, Chevy Corvette, Oldsmobile Cutlass
442, Camaro and high horsepower Impala. The museum includes a 60’s themed diner
café as well as a memorabilia gift shop carrying everything
from T-shirts, posters, and jewelry to neon signs and gas pumps.
Arcadia Antiques Ride – 50
miles
Nearby Arcadia, Florida, is an antiquing haven! Plan on
visiting Joshua Citrus Orchard, a family-operated citrus farm

Interactive Fountain

completed interactive fountain in Laishley Park is fun for kids
of all ages.

Charlotte County Historical Center
Just
across the Peace River from downtown Punta Gorda, the Charlotte
County Historical Center, 22959 Bayshore Road will be featuring
a special display entitled Florida Girls, Boys & Their
Toys. There are other general displays and exhibits reflecting
the history of Charlotte County. Admission is $2.00 for adults,
$1.00 for children 12 & under. For more information go

Punta Gorda Historic

Owned and operated by the Punta Gorda Historical Society, the
recently restored train depot was built 1928 and is the only
remaining of six depots built in the Mediterranean/Spanish
style. The depot's ticket office, houses three exhibits focusing
on the History of the Railroad, The Fishing Industry & The
Punta Gorda Army Air Field.
